Why is it So Hard for Some Men to Seduce Women?

About a month ago, I met up with my boyfriend and his friend. His friend recently got out of a 6 year relationship.

Now, my boyfriends friend (we'll call him Jim) is a very attractive and sweet guy, but has a horrible time meeting women. Perhaps he is just not attractive to the girls that come his way. He did make it a point as well that he can never get the girls that he thinks are "hot". Another problem with Jim is that he has been out of the dating loop for 6 years. Being with his ex girlfriend all that time has made him unfamiliar with the dating game.
I later asked Jim how he approached girls (most of these girls are from bars). He said that usually he would just walk up to them and say, "what's up". I told him that "what's up" is a horrible pick up line. I know that when I'm out in a bar or something, I like to first make eye contact with the person who is scoping me out. If I like what I see, I like it when the guy offers to buy me a drink. If I am interested, I will accept... if not, decline. I do like confidence in a guy, however, over confidence can destroy any interest I have. Cockiness is a TURN OFF.... I would say that comfortable is a better word. When approached, I like to feel at ease and as though the guys only interest at the present time in that bar is me!

Moving forward to last night, I met up with my boyfriend and Jim again. Actually, Jim just dropped by the house to talk about this amazing girl he just met. Fortunately for Jim, he had a little help in this department. He purchased an e-book online to explain the art of flirting and picking up women. He told me that he actually felt a little embarrassed to purchase the e-book, but that in the long run, there were nothing but good things about it. It gave him more confidence and made him more familiar with the dating game from all his dating time lost throughout his 6 year relationship.

Now Jim is heading down the Jersey Shore (which is a pretty hot pick up spot in the summer) to meet different kinds of women. I was pretty surprised. My boyfriend and I are going out with Jim and his brother this weekend, so perhaps we'll see him in action lol....
